Warranty

At House of Diamonds, we take great pride in the masterful craftsmanship of our special occasion jewellery. Our unwavering mission is to offer exquisite, ethically crafted jewellery that becomes a cherished piece to last a lifetime. Each piece of jewellery we create undergoes meticulous quality control testing to ensure its perfection.

Australian Consumer Law: Our commitment to quality extends to compliance with the Australian Consumer Law, providing guarantees for our products and services. In the event of a minor issue, we offer free repairs.

If any item is identified as defective due to manufacturing within the first 30 days, House of Diamonds will undertake the repair or replacement at no cost.

Exceptions to Guarantees: Consumer guarantees do not apply if you:

  • Change your mind, find a cheaper option, or no longer want the purchase.
  • Misuse the product, causing the issue.
  • Were aware of faults before the purchase.
  • Request a service against House of Diamonds' advice.

Lifetime Manufacturing Warranty: House of Diamonds provides a complimentary Lifetime Warranty starting from the invoice date to address any manufacturing defects in all Gold and Platinum jewellery. Manufacturing defects pertain to the structural integrity of the jewellery, and they typically become apparent within the initial months of wear.

Claiming Your Lifetime Manufacturing Warranty: If you suspect a manufacturing issue, follow these steps:

  1. Contact us at 1800 845 320 or info@houseofdiamonds.com.au.
  2. Arrange the return of your product for assessment.
  3. Deliver the item to us or pay a $40 AUD two-way postage fee (within Australia) or $200 AUD (from outside Australia).
  4. Read warranty details, as the postage deposit won't be refunded for non-manufacturing defects.
  5. We assess the jewellery; if it's a manufacturing defect, the postage deposit is fully refunded.

Wear and Tear (Not Covered by Lifetime Manufacturing Warranty): Normal wear and everyday activities can affect jewellery. Our warranty excludes damage due to normal wear and tear, accidents, mishandling, abusive use, theft, or general wear.

Examples not considered manufacturing defects:

  • Dents, abrasions, and scratches on settings.
  • Chips, scratches, and breakages on gemstones.
  • Pits and holes from exposure to corrosive chemicals.
  • Discoloration of precious metals from chemicals or wear.
  • Wear-down of precious metal prongs or bands over time.

Jewellery Care: To preserve your ring's beauty, we recommend removing it during hands-on work, sporting activities, and heavy housework. Take off your jewellery when going out and put it on last when returning home. Before engaging in activities like sports, gym, and heavy housework, it's advised to remove your ring.

Our Lifetime Manufacturing Warranty is valid with proof of purchase and when the jewellery remains unaltered.

Things you should know:

*Lifetime manufacturing warranty does not cover physical damage or loss caused by the customer, general wear and tear (including scratches, dents, or material misshaping), or if the piece has been tampered with by another jeweller. To avoid disappointment, we highly recommend insuring your item with a specialised insurance company. If you need assistance, please ask us about insuring your jewellery.
